15 - 09:00 Breakfast. Boiled duck egg from the farm down the road, with homemade bread, coffee. Leisurely breakfast interrupted by request from Helen that I pump one of the car's tyres up before she goes to the shops. Compressor out of action, so it's the footpump.
00 - 10:30 Writing. Also supervising Lily through homeschooling English lesson.
45 Post arrives. No plumbing parts. Disappointed. One of the flexi tails under our kitchen sink split on Monday, flooding the kitchen, and the plumbing supply shop in Kirkwall didn't have the part in stock when I phoned, so I had to order one online. I've tracked it and it's in the Kirkwall DO, so I'm hoping it arrives here before the weekend as there are no weekend ferries at the moment.
00 - 12:30 Listening to Methadrone by The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
And an interview with their drummer and my former flatmate in London, Graham Bonnar:
00 Helen returns from Sinclairs General Store laden with goodies, including crumpets, just in time for elevenses.

00-14:00 Lunchtime and a WhatsApp chat with Keith, my friend of more than 40-years.
