George John Stewart

Born in Uddingston, Lanarkshire in 1953, George has been painting and drawing for as long as he can remember, but only turned professional in 1990. Some time at Edinburgh College of Art under the tutelage of Hugh Buchanan extended his range.

George works principally in watercolour and gouache, but also enjoys acrylics and pastels. He has created illustrations for books and magazines, and has more recently been appreciated for his photography.

George's work is represented in many private collections in Britain, Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States.
